Extended lore

Taranis, Lord of the Hunt is the god of Thunderstorms, Combat, and Hunters. Taranis is one of the Great Spirits and a child of Isha, the Lifegiver. The Lord of the Hunt roams forests of the Feywylde as a giant copper coloured wolf with six burning eyes. His prescence is felt in the comming of a strong wind and the smell of fresh blood in the air. Taranis hunts monsters and spirits not for sustenance, but to chalange himself. To be strong is to prove you strength, and only by killing others can you earn the right to live. Taranis gathers his followers once per year for the Wild Hunt. They set out in a welling thunderstorm to hunt everyone and everything foolish enough to leave their dwellings.   The Aspect of Taranis is hunters and blood. He is the tempest that comes out of nowere to rattle roofs and uproot trees. He is the wolf that stalks his prey, remaining hidden until the last second when he strikes like lightning. His followers believe that might makes right, and the strong dominate the weak. Wyldefolk worship him out of fear, to not bring his wrath upon them, but some worship him to give them strength, so that they may slay their enemies and prove themselves worthy. These followers offer their enemies up on the altar of Taranis for blessings and glory.
