The Western Elysian Empire slowly fractured into separate territories over decades of policy changes. Parts of the land were given back to their native inhabitants and declared free countries or city states after Empress Cassian Amulius and her political supporters rapidly passed many reforms. The Elysian Empire slowly fractured into separate territories over decades of policy changes. Parts of the land were given back to their native inhabitants and declared free countries or city states after Empress Cassian "Cassia" Amulius and her political supporters rapidly passed many reforms. It was also during this time that the Elysian Empire switched from an Empire with a monarchy to a democratic government known as the Democratic State of Renovamen. Empress Cassia stepped down from her throne as ruling monarch and grateful abdicated her power to the country's newly elected officials.
