Library of Alexandria

This was the largest library in the world in the 1st and 2nd age. Filled with all the knowledge of the time, even rumored to contain the knowledge of creation and the knowledge of the gods.

Purpose / Function

The library was build as a center of knowledge, where scholars from all over the world could go to to study and improve the world.

History

The library has been build in 109 years, but throughout the centuries it has been renovated and extended countless of times. But one faitful day in 11014 (3rd age) an accident happened with one of the wizards running his experiments completely burning down the entire library and everyone and everything in it.

Tourism

Tourists where not allowed to visit and even the shcolars needed a thurough background check before being admitted to the library for the library contained much information that could be harmful if it where to fall into the wrong hands.
