Penumbra

A Penumbra is a spirit realm which is linked to a material world and separates the two with the use of a gauntlet. While a spirit world can appear identical to its material counterpart, it's (usually) twisted through the lens of concept, metaphor, and point of view. Usually, you have to step through the Penumbra in order to reach the respective Umbral realm. Celestial bodies, such as the moon, Venus, or Mars have their own respective Penumbra.
Most natural aspects of the respective material realm will be represented in its Penumbra. However, they may be found to be depicted differently as their spiritual reflection may take on different forms. Constructed aspects in the material may find themselves more abstracted, but most commonly are not represented at all.
Most stronger spirits do not reside in the Penumbra, however certain locations can draw focused groups of certain Triat aligned spirits.
