Bulwark, Great Hall
Purpose / Function
The hall serves two purposes, one is to treat with visitors and perform administrative duties, two is to hold grand feasts.
Design
The room is circular and is fifty feet long and wide. The floor is made of a dark tiled stone, which is polished every day.
Entries
The room can be entered by a banded iron door to the west. To the north and south are doors that lead to the northern and southern wings of the keep. A staircase behind the throne leads to the second floor and the basement.
Sensory & Appearance
The room is constantly filled with an orange light from the fires lit in the hall, and smells faintly of smoke, paper, and food from the last feast.
Contents & Furnishings
A large blue rug with images of warriors depicted in red and yellow leads to a runed stone throne. Tapestries adorn the walls, depicting the history of the Fruztii and other northern kingdoms. A few desks for scribes sit on the edge of the hall and one next to the throne for scribe work. When holding a feast, an old oaken table is brought up in pieces from the cellar, along with some benches to seat visitors.
