New Dawn Consortium

The New Dawn Consortium is considered a fairly radical, eccentric, and fanatical group of artificers and creators of clockwork automata, golems, and other fanciful works of artifice. They believe that the future of the world rests in the production and employment of automata both in the service of people, and on the battlefields of war. They also believe that arcane automata are one of the purest expression of, and even direct representation of their deity Gond - God of Earth, Metal, and Artisans. Most members of the Consortium live and work in the Grand Duchies of Aranoc, but their members can be found as far away as the Meridian Concord, or the Free Marches of Kargenras; selling, repairing, or creating amazing works of techno-arcana. Due in part to their basis in Aranoc, but also due to their propensity for tinkering; Gnomes, Halfling2, Dwarves, and Humans make up the largest portion of its membership.

God in the Machine

Automata, such as Warforged, familiars, or golems are presently seen by some as a mostly benign novelty, and as abominations of creation by those on the furthest extreme. But for most they are simply a curiosity which captures the imagination, but the application of which are beyond their conceptual understanding. And yet, there are still others who very clearly see their potentially fearsome application, and seek to prevent their widespread use. In addition to automata, such as golems; The New Dawn Consortium also produces augmetics for those who have the coin to pay, or for those who may have lost limbs in the service of the God of Creation, Gond.

One with their God

Many of its membership end up replacing their limbs with clockwork augmetics or bionics as they grow in seniority in the organization; the most extreme of which have replaced much of their bodies in near totality. While the organization professes that its members are just enthusiastic about the modifications; rumors persist that it is unofficially required to elevate through the ranks. At the head of the organization is the Lord High-Artificer, who chairs the Consortium of 24; the ruling council of the organization.
