Hidden away in the Bay of Tureon for thousands of years by powerful magics that saw boats sunk, turned around, disappear, or simply reappear on the other side; has resided the
High Elves Summer Islands of Ellyrion. It is an enchanted land of sweeping plains, azure skies, bright forests and pollen laden fields.
The Islands of Eversummer
Ellyrion is home to the Glade of Eversummer, and so the islands themselves are magically enchanted with eternal summers and mild nights. It is famed for its horses and riders, who thunder across moor and heath from dawn to dusk. The steeds of Ellyrion are regarded as the swiftest and most noble most prized by nobles of all kingdoms. Ellyrion is also known for its trade in wines, and fine linens.
An Isle of Trade
Due to its strategic location at the mouth of the Sea of Tureon, it is a major hub of trade and travel. Travelers from nearby such as
The Ondari Dominion,
Kingdom of Tiriande, and the
Grand Duchies of Arnoc are commonplace, with traders from across the sea such as
The Meridian Concord or
Cindarian Dukedoms also finding their way here. The Kingdom is regarded as one of the more open and cosmopolitan of all High Elven the kingdoms; at least when it comes to trade. Its dockyards are bustling with traders, markets with goods, atriums with art and music, and its coffers with money. Though few are allowed out of the port city of
Faltherian to experience much of the lands beyond the port itself. It is among the most wealthy and affluent regions in Esseas having never truly felt the destruction of war that has kissed so many of their kinsmen. The Kingdom was but a small set of island villages before they cast a great spell to shield the island from the outside world.
Never a dull tale
Amongst the bars and taverns around the Bay of Tureon, it is believed that the actual ruler of the island of Ellyrion is not an elf, but a ancient Gold Dragon who took roost on the island and now watches over the land. Whether or not this is true few can say; but it makes for good tales around a pint.
