High Lady Iafa Roion
High Lady Iafa Roion
"If I recall correctly, I believe the last person to describe Iafa Roion like my city, as the "Diamond of the North", was killed by her own arrow from 100 paces. And that was the most exciting Light Day Celebration I've ever attended."

Personal history
High Lady Iafa Roion is the second daughter of the previous High Lord Roion. After High Lord Roion's first child (daughter Misi) abdicated the ladyship in 1133, it fell to his second daughter Iafa. Since taking the seat as High Lady, Iafa has attempted to steer her country away from a tourist based economy, however with a country covered in snow for a significant portion of the year, it is difficult to drive business in other areas. She is known for her skill with the bow, and is tactically minded.
In 1154, Iafa's younger brother Erizen Roion attempted to coup to overthrow Iafa and take the throne for himself. This initiated a civil war within House Roion's lands, dividing lesser lords into two camps. The war lasted over a year before Erizen's army surrendered. Erizen was executed on the 23rd of the Ethereal Moon, and by the 1st day of the Guardian moon, Iafa had reorganized the hierarchy of the vassal lords, demoting those who supported Erizen to minor lord status while rewarding the lords that supported her with better titles and more lands.
