Relanus
"Lord Namivaw shouldn't be spreading false information. It was the Winter Solstice Celebration, and I shot at 150 paces." High Lord Iafa Roion
Demographics
Like the rest of Roshar, a solid mix of races. However, cold loving subraces like dwarves, gnomes, halflings, elves seem to make up a little more of the population.
Defences
The city boasts a sizable wall surrounding Relanus, however the walls main weakness is its entrances, which are difficult to defend due to the wooden doors not having a portcullis to protect it.
Industry & Trade
Relanus' main industry is tourism, as it boasts an almost year round snowfall. People of both light and dark eyes can travel to the lodges of Relanus for an enjoyable time in the winter snow. House Roion even has agreements with some High Lords and their vassal lords to be more likely to grant temporary writs of travel to lower dahn dark eyes who wish to travel to Relanus for a vacation. While this is practically impossible for anyone under 4th or 5th Dahn financially, the agreement is still in effect in order to promote more tourists come to Relanus.
Infrastructure
Relanus is one of the cleanest cities in Alethkar. It's roads are very well maintained, and are cleaned regularly in order to support the tourist industry. Outside the city limits, a number of resorts are set up and well maintained, providing lodges and cabins for guests, while also providing a number of snow sports and activities for tourists. Soulcast and natural mountains are shaped into sled hills and ski slopes.
History
Relanus was founded in 210 EOS by High Lord Roion, and became the center of House Roion because of its mining and logging trade. However after the ore in mines began to dwindle years later, the High Lord began a deep cleaning and beautification project in order to support travel to the city. This saved the House from financial ruin, and Relanus began to prosper as a travel destination for nobility.
