Session 3

General Summary

The third session, taking place on the 26th of August in 2023, involved the characters of Sensu (BloodMarry), David (Bisharp), Xelfy Zippletopple (Yeti), Red (Ersasmas) and Oliver Felixis (Mac). The session lasted from roughly 19:20 British Time to approximately 22:50 British Time, with everyone present.   Similar to the last session, the party began in Old Al's Inn. Here, the part regrouped with eachother and had breakfast, after which they and their allies headed to the Merchant's Guild to prepare for their bandit hunt.   When arriving at the Merchant's Guild, they found it much emptier than usual as Clarke hastily introduced the party to David, a new guild recruit that would be helping them with their tasks. As Clarke hastily tried to resolve an unknown dilemma, he sent the party off to collect a wagon to lure the bandits out. Collecting the wagon was mostly uneventful, as Daiven took the horse reigns and the party set off, Mork providing directions of where the ambush site was.   Upon arriving, the party very quickly prepared, exposing themselves and trying to lure the bandits out to much success. The party came face to face with a group of 12 Hasslich, armed with their basic scouting equipment. It didn't take long for the party to overpower the bandits, who opted to play dead and surrender when they were losing rather than be killed. After questioning these bandits, the party discovered that they were part of a larger group of wayward Hasslich that had been coerced into banditry, an unknown assailant threatening them into doing its bidding. The party then agreed to investigate and liberate the Hasslich, one of the bandits helping to lead them to the campsite.   Upon arriving, the party found the camp to be small, located in a dark forested part of the plains, inhabited by a large amount of Hasslich. It wasn't long before the party managed to sneak their way near the lead tent, but the Hasslich accompanying them had to work on calming down another Hasslich that was about to raise the alarm. When approaching the tent, the party found a creature screeching orders to a group of scared Hasslich, who they encouraged to leave through the use of igniting the entire tent and setting it on fire. The party then proceeded to try assessing the situation by speaking to the creature that ordered the Hasslich around. Their attempts at diplomacy were rejected, as the creature threatened them and scremed at them in various languages before making its escape, moving faster than any party member could and using razor sharp claws to cut a way out of the hide tent. After informing the other Hasslich of the situation, the party led them to the other group of Hasslich at the road.   Upon returning to the road, the party explained the situation to the others and spent a while planning out their next move, deciding to travel to Bahr to negotiate river passage for the Hasslich, but they chose to spend the night with the wagon. At this point, the group agreed to finish the session, as one member had already had to leave to rest due to escalating headaches.
