Luminara
Goddess of Illumination
Also known as Lady Light, Luminara was the goddess of the bright. All colors are said to have been invented by her, and she was also the one who, with the seed of Deiwos, gave birth to the sun, the mighty stallion on which Deiwos still rides through the sky. In her time she was one of the most beloved of the gods, and one of the most powerful, being considered second only to Soreithra in strength.Old Times
She was one of the wayfarers, not one of the first, but definitely not one of the last. She arrived with another shard she had met during her time alone in the void, one named Unhakhan, and together they entered the world. She had quickly developed a friendship with most of the other gods, especially Deiwos and Soreithra, who even at this time before the formation of the Velen as they are now, were the defacto leaders of the gods. This relationship was rather fruitful, as their cooperation and combined effort brought many good things into the world, and with her presence, the world was a much brighter place, the friendship of fire and light would prove to be a most powerful one, rivaled by none. However, despite their friendship, sharing the sky was something neither of them ever did lightly, and it remained a topic of heated debate between them. But it was not to last forever, as with the emergence of a new god, a new wayfarer. The Latter Times
With the arrival of Trezkgal, at the time an unknown deity, who was welcomed with open arms by all the gods, especially so by Luminara, who became this new gods' guide in the world, something both of them, especially Trezkgal, enjoyed greatly, and they formed a real friendship. In these days, life was good. There was peace and prosperity, and it was also during this time that Luminara and Deiwos together, birthed the sun, a great change for the world, as this entity embodied Luminara's gift of day and night to the world, and it was celebrated by all the gods, with the exception of Soreithra.End Times
Not long after the birth of the sun, Soreithra clashed with her former friend Luminara, a first for them, although they had had arguments before. This agreement, however, would prove to be their last, as it ended with Luminara's corpse being sent down from the heavens, and striking the earth at the south pole, where it remains to this day. What followed these dire events, was a shift in relations between the gods. It wasn't long after this that Trezkgal started to gather a following between the gods, and the precursors to the war of the wayfarers had begun.Lumina
Luminara's corpse stayed intact, it became a source of heat, melting the glaciers that had previously covered the south pole, and turning it into a rich land, where, over time, many plants and great trees would grow, and those of her most loyal followers came to the site where her corpse had fallen down, a place they named Lumus, after their fallen goddess. Lumina was the remnant of her divine body, now a place of power and magic forgotten by the rest of the world and treasured deeply by the people of Lumus. The rest of the world knows this place as The Shadowlands.Artifacts
Other than the sun, there are no known artifacts that were left behind by Luminara, however, there are rumours that the people of the south, the lumans, as they call themselves, have hoarded and hidden all her sacred artifacts, to use for their own purposes.Ancient Magic
When Luminara had been alive, she had been the source of an ambient energy, just like all the other living gods. Her color had been a bright pink, and had been called Fusion. It had allowed for the combination of certain matter into entirely new matter, something not even construction could do. It only worked on certain materials, and it could only combine, not take apart. The most famous use for this was the ability to turn carbon into an equivalent amount of iron, a most rare and precious metal. However, this required three stages of fusion, and the first turned the carbon into an invisible gas. If pure carbon was used, and all maters were fused properly, it was possible to create an amount of iron, nearly equal in weight than the inputted amount of carbon, although with each stage of fusion, there was some loss of mass.Status:

The People of Lumus:
Personality
Luminara was widely loved and commended for her kindness, beauty, and intelligence. Most of the gods had some sort of relationship with her, that being friendship, mentorship, or any other ship. These ships were something she spent a lot of her time maintaining, as her social bonds were her lifeblood, and those of her best friends, the ones she had known the longest, all made known their outrage at her untimely death at the hands of another god, who should have been her friend.
Oh, I want to read more about Lumus now! I have a bit of a love of places where the physical presence of a deity has altered the land.
Im glad you like it :)) check the article lumanity, its under sentient races on the homepage
