The Moon Goddess
Nula is the watcher in the night, the silver soldier, guarding the darkest hours of the day. It is her responsibility to be a shepherd to the stars, guiding them through the sky.
It is said that her light comes and goes, the same way the cycle of human women comes and goes, and Whenever she returns, and her cycle starts again, a new star will have been born to decorate the sky.
Some people say that every woman's cycle will synch up with the Nulan cycle eventually, but this has yet to be proven.
The Mother
Because she is seen as the mother of the stars, she is also associated with maternity and motherhood.
She values loving care for children. But also discipline and good behaviour.
If you are good, Nula will shine on you in favor, but if you are bad, Nula will drag you down below the horizon, to be punished until the morning. That's what mothers tell their misbehaving children, and that's what her priests and priestesses say to the people.
Temples
The temples dedicated to the goddess of the moon, big or small, fancy or plain, they all feature a large moon gate, from which the moon can be easily spotted,
Besides this are the moon temples houses of quiet contemplation, less a place of worship and more so place of work, for here gather the dedicated followers of Nula.
The temples are headed by bailiffs, who act as administrators and leaders of the temple but are still subordinate to a greater authority.
Protector
While part of a mother's job is to teach and to discipline, it is also to protect and to care, and be vigilant in the dark of the night when the world is the most dangerous.
and this is where Nula's holy order truly comes into play.
Since temples are merely outposts for their order and their real purpose is that of protection, which they grant in the form of combat support from their holy military.
This order is led by the grand master, who is both their spiritual and military leader.
All temples in a single region or nation are headed by a grand commander, who see to much of the administration of the order and act as regional heads of religion, and may have a few or many bailiffs under them.
Artifacts
The Lunar bead is a small silvery bead, that looks like the moon. It can be braided into hair, or attached to a necklace or bracelet.
It has quite strong protective properties, namely against disease, poison and venom. It doesn't grant immunity exactly, it just grants great resilience.
Personality
Nula, the mother of the stars, embodies a protective nurturer, offering disciplined wisdom and serving as a guiding light in darkness. Hers is a disciplined sense of morality, and her mysterious serenity encourages introspection. Reflecting the cycle of renewal, she promotes celestial harmony within individuals, fostering resilience and optimism in the face of life's challenges.
