Uhnakhan

The Goddess of Alternity

Unhakhan is the one who differs, the one who stands apart. She is often depicted with multiple faces and more limbs than are expected of humanoids, because these are the grotesque and abnormal features expected of the goddess of the alternative.

Perception

When people get that strange feeling of the uncanny, that causes shivers to run down their spine, or when they experience or witness something so wrong it can't possibly be normal, they think of Unhakhan. It's because of this that she is blamed for many of the more heinous crimes in the world, such as the molestation of a child, a thing many claim only Unhakhan's waylings could possibly do.   When a woman gives birth to a child with more limbs than normal, she will often be blamed for witchcraft and the worship of Unhakhan, because such a vile and grotesque thing is the mark of the Forsaken, especially Unhakhan, who has taken the uncanny and the wrong as her personal signature.

Following

There are not many who choose to follow her, as she is unpredictable and dangerous. But those that do, do so out of a desire for uniqueness. They long for the freedom to think without obstruction, to explore concepts outside of the constraints of societal and cultural norms, which is why they are hated above all.   She asks for no worship, prayer, or shrines, only that people be their strangest selves because that's what she admires. Things and people who are different, alternative, other. Those who follow her might find themselves growing new limbs; they might find their skin changing shape or shade, or scales growing. This is the mark of Unhakhan's favor, a sign she has decided you are worth differentiating more so than others

Artifacts

The first artefact given to the world, is Uhnakhans arm. It is a long octopus-like appendage, that anyone with a missing arm can simply stick on the place where their arm used to be, and it will stick in place. It is not merely an arm, but a living being, created to serve the armless. It will literally graft into your tissue, so removing it may prove problematic. The arm is strong and very versatile, but it also digs its roots into your body over time. This entity lives in symbiosis with its host sure, but if it doesn't get to do anything other than make tea for you, it will get upset.   The arm isn't the only one, there are similar other artifacts. There is Uhnakhans claw, a hand with long fingers, and longe nails. It is a strong arm, and a useful one, which has an adjustable under arm, which will shrink or grow, depending on where the original was removed.   There is also Uhnakhan's leg. which resembles that of a wolf. Uhnakhans Tail, resembling that of a spider monkey, but bigger and longer, very useful for those who either like swinging in trees, or find themselves in need of a third arm.   There are even Uhnakhans eyes, black marbles with many tiny white dots on them. These eyes do not see color, but they can see through walls, and in the complete darkness.   All of these appendages have their own personality, and it is said they whisper the things they want to do the whoever they are currently attached to. These whispers are only in the mind though.

Personality

Uhnakhans need to be unique and different makes her unique and different, but it also makes her inherently unreasonable. Her personality is that of a noble girl before her wedding, a great lord scorned, a wolf trying to find the one who bit his tail, not realising that it was himself all along.

Divine Relations

Unhakhan arrived on this world in the company of Luminara, a fellow goddess she had met during her time alone in the void, when they arrived here, they were welcomed graciously, but behind her back, most these native gods shunned her, they condemned her love for things that are different, something Luminara had always respected about her. While her void sisters, the light goddess, received the imperial treatment, Unhakhan was left alone, Luminara visited her often of course, but their lives had changed, and they simply had different paths in life now. This was all fine until one day one of these Velen, Soreithra, Murdered her void sister Luminara in cold blood. Another of Luminara's friends, Trezhkgal sought Unhakhan out, to form a resistance against these tyrant gods and seek revenge for their fallen friend, and Unhakhan was easily convinced. And thus she joined the Forsaken, as they would later be called, she cared not, as all she wanted was some semblance of justice for her dead friend.
