Avefism (Ah-vee-fism)

Originally a spirit of the Witle people, Avefo Me was the Spirit of Death. Avefo Me oversees a soul's journey through several lifetimes. Upon death a soul is given judgement for all of it's actions in life where upon they spend the next cycle observing whomever they wronged the most. After this period of reflection the soul is reincarnated into a new form to take the knowledge of life & death into the next incarnation for hope of improving the world for the better.   Avefism has spread throughout the various countries of Catham & Harlistedia. Avefist churches, commonly called "Doom Halls," are glimmering citadels of water and reflective surfaces where worshipers reflect on their experiences and how they can improve their Soul's Journey.   Those 'touched' by Avefo Me are often described as "Cold", "Wise", "Judgemental", and "Altruistic". 'Touched' view situations with a grand view eye of how situations will impact the greater world. How choices impact the strings of fate are not taken lightly and 'touched' will often take unpopular choices if it means it services the greater good.

Culture

There are cultural differences in the way Avefo Me is represented depending on the prominant species in the area. As an example, in more Dragonborn dominated regions Avefo Me is depicted as a beautiful black Dragonborn rather than a Tabaxi.

Ethics

Gyre. Represents the uncertainty of life.

Worship

The Cosmic Refraction
The final path of those who worship Avefo Me. Those who spend their life reflecting on their actions in this life and those past lives. They face what they have done. The good. The bad. They experience their successes and their failures. And the consequences of their actions are laid bear, no longer veiled by ignorance, doubt, or the Gyre of the living world. The Bygone observe and remark. Finally they ascend and join the Bygone before merging fully into the Esse and transitioning to the Hereafter.
