The New World

After the archipelago, this new land was discovered by human explorers, at first it was thought barren and empty of people, but when they made landfall, it wasn't long before they discovered the natives. in the years following the coasts have been thoroughly mapped, and efforts were made to create settlements on the more fertile parts of the coast, in then north, something that was quickly decided was too dangerous, because the people there were not too pleased with strange foreigners invading their land. and while the humans were the first here, word of the new land spread quickly, and all the races now have trading outposts here.

The Natives

There were three races discovered on this new land, they were the grey men of the east, they called themselves the Baskth, There were the dark elves of the northwest, who call themselves the Nalsai, and the Beastmen of the southwest, who call themselves the Felman. These people have all formed their own nations, each with unique and intricate power balances, the Baskth choosing a federal monarchical system, the Felman, a representative republic, and the Nalsai, a feudal monarchy.

Wars

It wasn't long before settlers overstayed their welcome, and the local population attacked them, the humans were attacked by the Nalsai, for their colonization of the northern coast, the elves were attacked by the Baskyth, for their outposts in the central bay, which is now called shipwreck bay, for all the elven ships sunk there. The dwarves, late to the party, managed to stay out of any conflicts, instead emigrating to existing Baskth settlements in the southeast.

Present

Currently, the elves have settled on the isle of Bakanmye, at the entrance of shipwreck bay, where they have a sizable settlement, and the humans moved their settlements further east, where the land is less fertile, but is sparsely populated, and ripe for colonization. The dwarves now form a small but growing minority in south eastern Baskythenia, especially in the big cities, where they are forming a wealthy merchant and craftsmen class.
