The Land of Beasts
Felmeria is the land of the Felmen, known to the continentals as the beastmen, they live mostly within a vast rainforest, although the southern parts are slightly dryer, and the coast is lined with plains, which are also the least populated.
City-States
The felmen have five different subspecies, each living in their own part of Felmeria, grouped around large city-states that are united by a federal government.
Most of these city-states live on the Guayjin River, or one of its tributaries, with the notable exception of the wolf cities, two of which are on the coast of the Mediterranean sea, called the Sea of Zehir, and one of them is in the mountains not far from the most distant tributary of the Guayjin.
Lands
Most of Felmeria is flat or hilly, with mountains in the east and the western peninsula, as you approach the mountains the terrain gets progressively more uneven.
This is why the Guayjin River is almost entirely navigable, with the exception of the easternmost regions, where there are some waterfalls.
Government
The governing body of Felmeria is led by a representative senate, with each city-state contributing three senators, who are elected by the citizens from their city, and they advocate their city's needs in the senate. The senate is led by a prime representative, who is elected by lottery from all current senators, when a prime representative is elected, the city-state he or she is from has to elect a replacement, there is also two vice-representatives, elected in the same way.
There are senate elections every five years, but the prime representative and vice representatives are elected once in ten years, in order to preserve stability and national focus. Unless the prime is deposed for incompetence, or going against the will of the people, which can be done by a vote from sixty percent of the senate.
Politics
Felmerian politics, like the rest of the continent's nations, are mostly internally focused, although they do have a trade relationship with the baskythenians. However, international trade is very unregulated on Armir.
Their relationship with Nalsai'ia is much less cordial, they are often at war, and the Nalsai have made it a hobby to invade them, or send raiding parties, they even hunt the Felmen for sport, which hasn't helped improve relations.
