Mountain Men
These are the grey-skinned people who call the eastern highlands of Armir their home. They can be easily identified by their large stature, but even more so by their four arms.
They are not so different in general build, from the continental people, but their ears are less ear-shaped, and more antenna-shaped, like an insect's feelers, but more fleshy.
Their faces are wide and rough, and their voices are deep.
They have large square teeth, and short pointed canines, their hair is think and dark, and their skin is most commonly grey, although they have also been seen with more pale, white, or even yellow-ish skin tones.
Their eyes are large and round, and protected by their long thick lashes, and thick eyebrows.
Homeland
They feel most at home in the mountainous highland interior of the continent, but they live in all lands east of the mountains.
However, there are many settlements near the coast of the inland sea, called shipwreck sea by the continental, where the climate is gentle, good for farming, and natural plant growth, and as you move land inwards, the land gets more arid, ranging from sandy desert in the south, to hot shrublands in the north. During the day, temperatures in the highlands are unbearably hot to human and elven explorers, but the native mountain men, don't seem to mind so much, and during the night, temperatures can reach the freezing point, even in the heart of summer, one might wonder why these mountain men won't rather stick to the more moderate coastal lands, where plants grow better, and the climate is more pleasant. This is because the highlands are the prime grazing ground for the local sand ox, a type of bovine that thrives in the dry highlands, where they live off what vegetation they can find, but also because they require large amounts of salt in their diet, in order to better retain water, and the highlands host a number of salt flats, where the sand ox can easily fill up their supply of salt, before moving on to their grazing grounds.
While most of their lands are dry desert and grassland, the corners of their world are forested, and in the south, it is even known to snow in the winter.
Technology
Besides their access to the same magic as the rest of the world, they seem to have a quite sophisticated level of technology, on par with the continent, they use well-crafted, although strangely shaped steel swords, and they have even been seen with mithril and jet, although these are mostly used for jewelry, and jet has only been seen in its raw, unrefined state, so it is assumed that they lack the technology to work the metal.
They have vast networks of roads and trade highways, and their cities are protected by sophisticated runic defenses.
Religion
They are quite private about their religious beliefs, but they consider the body a holy thing, and they don't use any kind of piercings or tattoos, as they consider it blasphemous, although some cultures among them are known to use body paint, which is only considered okay because it can be washed off.
They build their temples on high mountain peaks, looking down on the rest of their world, and going there is considered a holy thing, which is why outsiders haven't been allowed inside. These temples are tall structures, usually made up of multiple towers, and a central temple that sits lower, where there are said to be sacred gardens that feed not only the monks but also the surrounding peoples. There are also many of such temples at the edges of glaciers, or natural springs, where their water can be used optimally, at first, comparisons were made to the yenoan Cerulean Spira, but as knowledge has increased, it has been discovered that this couldn't be further from the truth. It is not yet certain exactly what they worship.
