Stal

The Stal or the Star Listener is the leader of the Church of the Night. It is said that they are chosen by Ambran himself and that they can hear the voices of the stars themselves.

Appointment

When a new Stal is needed, Ambran is said to send visions of the next Stal to all of the Hands of the Moon. They then bring the chosen to the Stal's Prayer Room at the heart of the The Forum of Stars where they are left alone for three days and three nights where it is said they converse with Ambran directly. After they leave the prayer room they don the vestige of the Stal and become the Stal.
