The Iron Plains

Covering a peninsula west of the Valley of Mist is the Iron Plains. Unlike the other plains of Virasia, the Iron Plains has an abundance of metal ore as well as mysterious stretches of worked metal that lie randomly several feet below the surface. This is obviously the source of the name as well. Another mentionable thing is that there are giant swords that rise out of the ground in random locations throughout the Iron Plains.
