Personal history

Javi was born a member of the Ralaferin Dalish Clan. A bright-eyed, curious child, he could often be found exploring the woods surrounding his clan's camp.
On one of these explorations, he was captured by slavers while out in the forest, and taken to Antiva City. He was sold to the Antivan Crows in Antiva City, who raised him and trained him in the ways of their organization. He grew quickly to the rank of Master, and loved the opportunity to get out of the city for contracts. On his first solo contract, Javi took a detour in an attempt to find where his clan had been previously camped. He knew it was a long shot, and indeed, when he arrived, he found that his clan had long since moved on. He is always on the lookout for any mention of Clan Ralaferin, in hopes of finding his family again.
When he came of age, he gave himself his own vallaslin, painstakingly applying the tattoos on his own in a dingy inn mirror. He chose the vallaslin of the elven god Elgar'nan, God of Vengeance and the All-Father of the Elven Pantheon.
Despite enjoying the lifestyle that being a Crow afforded him, Javi has always harbored resentment toward the Crows for purchasing him as a young child. When the Black Shadow began causing dissent within the Crow leadership, Javi was eager to discover the identity of the Black Shadow and offer his assistance. He connected with the Black Shadow less than a year before the start of the campaign, and has assisted in the assassination of a senior Crow Guildmaster.
