Genetics and Reproduction

The werewolves of Thedas were created through a ritual gone wrong by the Forest Elves of The Dales. Any wound caused by a werewolf that does not lead to immediate death will cause the recipient to eventually turn into one themselves. Certain users are able to retain their sanity and even return to society, while other go full feral, never to be seen again.
