Two powerful dragons, Karios and Thelket, begin searching for the secret of Calvin's Ascension. In the process they infiltrated various governments among the free nations. The aftermath of their search is known as the war of the stones as the power of the deity stones is uncovered. The end of the war heralds the ascension of the second tier of youngling Gods including Karios himself as well as Valic Lightfooted, Callus, Dariat, Farlen, and Pierken.
