A rift to the void opened in the realm of dreams.

Energy from the void began to slowly taint the realm of dreams, just as dreams from the current world bled into the void. These dreams awoke the sleeping mind of Kakotheo, what was left of the dead god from the previous world. Still trapped in the void, he began amassing his forces and working on the means of his escape.   The energy of the void changed some that it came into contact with, granting them strange abilities and access to unknown powers of the mind.
