The shadow elves are born

Dariat, the shadow god, decided to take his rivalry with Valic in a new direction. He turned his attention and influence toward a prosperous elven kingdom, corrupting the ruling class by promising them power and wealth. By the time Valic discovered what was happening, it was too late. An army of loyal elves laid siege to the nation. The followers of Dariat proved stronger than expected. They were not easily defeated, and the newly minted Shadow elves fled into the ashen lands under the guidance of their patron. Dariat's connection with his new followers gave him power as an elven deity. The other elven deities had to grudgingly accept his place among them.
