Daneel Redcliff
Once a famous composer and playwright, Daneel Redcliff lost his fame (and nearly his freedom) when he wrote a musical satirizing Queen Ruthata's rule. Daneel thought his criticisms were quite clever and his jabs quite subtle, but his audience was smarter than he gave them credit for. Attendance vanished after the first show - people were too afraid to be associated with his work, and soon Daneel found this fear extended to anything else he tried to write. Now only a handful of back-alley performers are willing to work with him - all fiercely opposed to The Queen Atop the Mountain. These associations put him in a precarious position, and he drowns his sorrows (and fears) with drink.
