Remrys

The pain that started in your chest now wracks your body whole, a searing, twisting wrench you are uncertain you can bear. Old wounds rip open and freely bleed, letting more than you thought you could offer. For what you've endured, you should be dead, but only alive can you suffer - so for now, something keeps you that way.   But now this giant heart beats loud in front of you, blood oozing where chains and spikes protrude. A bitter, copper stench permeates the room. Your head rings so loud it must be on the verge of splitting, and had you any sense left in you, you'd wonder if this journey was worth the reason you came.   The heart beats, and yours beats with it. It pounds against your head. Blood rushes with each beat, running down your arms and legs, something keeping you alive enough to suffer. Had you any sense left in you, you'd sense its twisted pleasure.   The heart beats, and yours desires what it offers. To share the endless sense of pain, to shoulder what it suffers. Had you any sense left in you, you'd hear the question in its drum:   Will you stay and revel, or will you share what I have given?   The heart beats, and yours beats with it. The heart beats. Had you any sense left in you, yours would do the same.
