Steelbraid
Most of the Steelbraids are high-ranking clergy in the church of Bedarr, one of the few approved deities in Esset-Khal. The family was blessed by Bedarr for the impressive deeds of an ancestor, and nearly all of them weild varying degrees of holy powers. Of course, magic is now banned in Esset-Khal, meaning the Steelbraids must walk a thin line to keep their power. Fortunately they have ingratiated themselves among nobles and gentry for generations and are in little danger of ostracization - so long as they suppress their holy magics and publically support the Queen.
