The Rift

The fifth continent of Thera was once home to the warring human countries of Avondell and Rimera, but is now overtaken by the Rift that appeared some five hundred years ago. Demons, imps, and other hellspawn roam the desolate landscape alongside the twisted echoes of native creatures, now deformed beyond recognition. No brave adventurer has ever returned from a foray here; most airships are torn down by winged devils before they can even land.
