Thera Pægana

[WORK IN PROGRESS]   Welcome... to Thera Pægana!   You find that you have stumbled into a wild and wondrous world... Let me tell you a little bit about it.   There are many twists on traditional fantasy tropes on Thera. Orcs are the noble, ancient, often snobbish, sometimes isolationist race of the world (not Elves). Elves are the near-feral, raging, brutal outcasts of the world (not Orcs). Halflings are the insatiably curious tinkerers, inventors, and entrepeneurs of the world (not Gnomes). Gnomes - 'garden gnomes', if you're in the mood to cause offence - are the largely quiet, humble, wholesome, rural race (not Halflings).   The world exists under the auspices of the overgoddess Lady Luck and her seven sisters. Along with the Blue, the White, and Lord Fate, the Eight Ladies represent the pantheon of this world. It's probably also worth mentioning that the Blue and the White are galaxy-sized cosmic whales.   The Great Daiku Tree is the gargantuan, near-omnipotent hivemind for the parasitic scourge that is the Daiku race of plant-beings. After ravaging and consuming all life in its home of Hyrule, the Great Daiku Tree used its inconceivably potent magical power to tear a planar rift and travel to a new, fresh world, full to the brim of potential unwilling hosts for the Daiku. If only an intrepid band of misfits and miscreants could be thrown together to oppose this world-ending threat...
