The Eight Ladies

The Eight Ladies are the primary deities of Thera Pægana. These eight goddesses sit atop the eight figurative thrones of the Theran pantheon. Aloof and distant, standing by himself, is the tempestuous, magisterial, enigmatic Lord Fate. Beyond this pantheon, but in no way less a part of it, drift the two godbeasts, the Blue and the White.   Most denizens of Thera regard Lady Luck as the Overgoddess, above all her sisters and unsurpassable in power and influence. Most, therefore, set aside at least part of their devotion for her, whatever their belief. The average Theran then puts the large remainder of their faith in one of the seven sisters of Lady Luck, or Lord Fate. The slightly more uncommon Theran will primarily follow the Blue, though this is still relatively common. The rarer - and often more ostracised - Theran might venture to throw their support to the White. And for vanishingly few Therans, their faith might lie in gods that are largely unknown to this world, whose names are whispered in the ramblings of the insane or hand-scrawled in the back pages of dark and dusty books.

Lady Luck

Lady Luck is the most elusive, the most mysterious, and, some say, the most powerful of all the Seven Ladies. Her influence affects all things, for better or worse.

Goddess of war, blood, fire, and rage.

Lady Libra

Goddess of law, peace, earth, and balance.

Lux, Lady of Light

Goddess of the sun, day, air, and joy.

Lun, Lady of Lunacy

Goddess of the moon, night, the Underdark, and madness.

The Lady of Love

Goddess of love, protection, fertility, and the harvest.

The Lady of the Lake

Goddess of water, nature, mythology, and wisdom.

Lady Lacrimosa

Goddess of tears, death, grief, and storms.
