The elixir's distribution is tightly controlled. Annually, a blind, mute servant emerges from the heavily fortified Citadel inside Aeloriandor with five vials. These vials are transported to many cities for auction, following an ancient rotational order. Selected foreign emissaries are invited to bid on the vials, with the five highest bidders each receiving one, while the losers forfeit their bids. All auction proceeds go to the Owhain.
