This was once a small fishing village in Western Anestor, part of the elven kingdom. Marceaux invaded Anestor through the west, which was less heavily defended against naval invasions than the east. Bower Town was taken over very quickly. The mages and outsiders, which were common in the town at the time, but they were taken when the Marcisians came, and many of the elves who lived in the village were displaced. Marcisian blooded humans took the homes of the elves. A church of the Sacred Eight was built at the city center. Hundreds of years passed by, and the town built up a bit. During the war, most people were Marcisian-blooded, but they identified more as Anestian than Marcisian at that point. Lord Beaumont chose not to join the revolution on either side. He didn't want to join the war, fearing repercussions from both sides, but his people left the town in droves to join up with whichever side they identified with, the majority joining the rebels. When the war was over, Lord Beaumont gave up his title, knowing that he would probably ousted anyway. It was then that Lieutenant Gaspard, a hero of the revolution, was elected lord by the people. Since then, his son has taken over.

Geography
Bower Town rests on the western coastline of Anestor, just south of Astreia's forest. The Willow Brook, a small, slow moving river curls down from the forest, flowing through the center of town. It is that river that provides the citizens of the small town with fresh water. The coastline is rocky, and does not make for the most reliable farm land. There are a few small islands off of the coast, which can be seen from shore, but aside from a couple of light house keepers and seals, nothing really lives out there.
Natural Resources

While Astreia's forest, which has always been bordered with fairy lights, is off limits for lumber harvesting, Bower Town does have a coniferous forest to the east that provides the people with wood for building.
