Elysium Falls

Military action

The capital city of Elgranar, Elysium is conquered by Marceaux after two years of military occupation.

Smoke rose in black towers in the west, as Elysium burned. After two years of war, the jewel of Elgranar, the capital city fell into Marcisian hands. The nobles were captured, and executed. The Marcisian army was allowed to loot the city, and the Inquisition of the Sacred Eight moved in. They tore down the religious iconography, burned the temples to the old gods, and locked the priests of those heretical temples inside their places of worship, even as they burned. The fall of Elysium came as a shock to the people of Elgranar. The people were slowly forced to accept the inevitability of losing the war.
