Theros Timeline

The Marcisian Empire begins their occupation of the island country to the north by invading the elven country, Elgranar, which is later known as Western Anestor.

The trade city of Volantis is captured by the Marcisian Empire.

The Marcisians hunt for important artifacts within Elysium, chief among them, the Blade of Elysium, but they find it to be missing.

Golaran the wizard leads refugees from the war in Anestor to a plentiful valley, and together they found a village.

The rightful king of Elgranar, Eldrin Inariel was discovered by and later rescued by Golaran, the wizard from his position as a slave in a mine.

Seventy-Two dwarven soldiers hold off the Marcisians while the people of Canebras follow Queen Navelda of Clan Rockhammer to the northern reaches of the country in the first act of open rebellion by the dwarves. Canebras enters Golaran's revolution of Four Princes.

King Alaric's first child, Prince Darian, and King Eldrin's daughter, Princess Dathyra were born on the same evening, exactly ten years after the revolution ended, and under the sign of the Dragon Star. Both were born with birthmarks shaped as constellations on their backs. The meaning to the people was clear, these children were destined to rule Anestor together as king and queen. This was cause for much celebration and hope.

Though only ten years old, Darian and Dathyra are married, but would only see each other at formal events a few times a year until their coronation as king and queen.
