Ruthenax (/ɻuːθɛnæxs/) is one of the six draconic demigods of Thesilae. He was created by
Niginni when she formed the world and its mortal inhabitants, and was the first dragon. He was an ally to
Hylkor during the god's rampage, and has been denounced by both Niginni and her consort
Brasaan.
History
The Age of Dawn
Ruthenax was Thesilae's first dragon, sculpted from the clay and stone which Niginni used to make all things, and given life at the same time as all mortal-kind. He was a protector of the natural world, and to that end he spent his days and night wandering the lands and looking for any would-be desecrators. When Hylkor was abandoned by his clan, Ruthenax was one of the beings of nature who Niginni charged with protecting the child. Ruthenax quickly became so attached to the child that when Hylkor eventually turned on Niginni and went on a world-destroying rampage, Ruthenax betrayed her as well.
While Hylkor remains locked away in the cage made for him by Brasaan, Ruthenax continues to roam Thesilae, waiting for Hylkor's return.
