Pendants of the Great Scaled Mother are usually carved from stone, bone, or wood but can also be cast in metal. They feature the dragon mother in profile and her tail tuft always has 8 curls. The depiction featured here is very old, is carved from some strange dark stone, and is missing the antlers that should appear along its forehead where they have broken off.
