Aix'ik

A species of Arkan life, specifically Troznux.   This species can grow to a length of about 2 km, which is equivalent in size as some Hyperion Federation destroyers, such as the Boson - Class Destroyer. They are best known to have the rare armament of a biological form of railgun-like organs, which can give them a surprisingly powerful firepower as most spaceborne species expect to be hit by more energy based weapons than kinetic penetration railguns such as this. The rails of these railguns are comprised of a highly advanced and strong biological material similar to spider silk except it can withstand much greater heat. A superconducting biological material is embedded in this, which acts as the rail.   Electricity is transferred from the rail to the shell through a plasma that conducts electricity, so the rail and symbiotant ammunition dont physically make contact. A large amount of energy is stored in large, capacitor-like organs that can in turn receive power through several areas that generate bioelectricity. The ammunition it uses comes in the form of a symbiotic organism that can reproduce over time within some specific organs of an aix'ik. The highly armoured carapace on the front of these creatures can penetrate most biomatter. After entering the body of a target creature, they will attempt to eat the target creature from the inside. From this symbiotic relationship, the aix'ik gains a method to defend itself and the symbiotant a place to reproduce and grow in.   This species of Troznux has a number of these railgun organs. 2 are located on the top front, 1 on the bottom front, and 1 on the top rear. The sides of this species house the defining feature of this race: a pair of large, radiator-like organs which dissipate excess heat through the emission of black body radiation. These are smaller but highly efficient types of radiators. This saves on mass, allowing it to accelerate harder.
