Annihilation Mechanised Assault Vehicle

A large, heavily armoured mech design of the Hyperion Federation.   The Annihilation Mechanised Assault Vehicle (AMAV) is about 20 m tall, being armed with an array of High Energy Turret Hardpoint. These, like starship armements, can be easily removed can swapped for new ones to perform a variety of different missions. These weapons are often larger than most sentient species. Sometimes this allows it to perform artillery bombardment roles, frontline combat, or even short range combat, using short range weapons.   It is very heavy though, due to the use of thick TGX Composite armour, and is strongly shielded. This gives it a daunting apperance on the battlefield, and has a huge effect on the morale of most enemies it encounters. This makes it more of a morale damaging weapon than anything because of its huge profile (being a mech). This profile is its main disadvantage compared to a tank. The AMAV is powered by a significant antimatter anniihilation core. Antimatter is recieved via Teleporter rather than hardlight tank, so the HF can power it from any location. The mech is also defended by a small number of CIWS photon cannons and a powerful energy shield of Hardlight. It also projects a disc shield in front of it constantly which is h higly powerful but only protects the vehicle from damage in 1 direction. It can be crewed but is alos often piloted remote using QEC from a planetary assault ship.   Its motors are, of course, overengineered. Due to the use of a superconducting,100 kV motor that can draw a significant amperage, it can lift about 100 times its own bodyweight, allowing it to kick down objects often significantly larger than itself and damage enemy morale further.   Its feet are padded with a very high friction material. This allows it to move faster on most types of ground materials, though still limited by the speed of the motors and the mass of the vehicle itself.
