Conquest - Class Destroyer

The Conquest class is designed to engage other similarly sized destroyers. Against the Hyperion Federation, the Conquest class almost always has the numbers advantage against the Boson - Class Destroyer, but has less advanced technology in its construction. Taking this into account, and the lack of answers the CD has to HF technology in general, they decided to attempt to fit a large number of weapons to it. In massed numbers, the Conquest class can then fire a huge volume of fire that HF ships may struggle with despite the highly advanced nature of their armour and shield.
Also, the CD has adopted to use multiple different types of weapons of each Conquest, ranging from railguns to lasers and plasma cannons. This kind of weapon doctrine is more effective against the HF than most others and can also give the ship a large range of roles even if not fighting the HF.

Power Generation

Like most CD ships, it is powered by a mobile wormhole power tether linking the ship to an entire power station possibly located in another galaxy. This makes the power core largely compact and hard to hit and it also has its own layer of armour around it in addition to giving the ship possibly more power than it can realistically use This wormhole is also used to provide the ship with antimatter fuel for the annihilation thrusters that it has.These annihilation thrusters work by annihilating matter-antimatter particle pairs and directing the radiation towards the rear. This releases a lot of energy, so it can produce a lot of thrust for little input, giving the ship virtually infinite operational range.
