Cyber Sphere

Large, planet sized constructs built by unknown precursor factions.
For unknown reasons, Cyber Spheres seem to be only found within the Unreachable Star Cluster around Arcturus.
Cyber spheres are mostly comprised of metal, and the reason for construction still remains unknown despite deep investigations and managing to use some smaller precursor databases inside. It is thought that the race that built it was entirely robotic, from a small amount of evidence found in these databases. There is however yet to be any strong evidence of this. Regardless, the material that these materials are made of are known to be extremely strong, especially the metal.
Some exotic storms can happen on Cyber Spheres. Many of these are very deadly, such as liquid metal rain, and others can even cause the gravity to be temporarily reduced. Strangely, some storms also rain a material reminiscent of healing liquid but more effective. The latter of these are probably clusters of nanobots. Cyber spheres are known to have large and extensive databases deep inside. The core of every cyber sphere is usually a single, massive database that can roughly rival the computing power of a quarter of a Matrioshka Brain, which is a feat that seems impossible to any non-precursor faction. It is commonly thought that these serve as control centers for various large machines on the planet as well as the repair units that continue to scuttle across the megastructures and constantly carry out repair duties. They have been remarkably successful for planets that are over 1 billion years old, being constructed before the Starsong incident.
