Dimension Vaults

Pocket megastructures designed to contain all objects within the pocket dimensions that the Rih'kiel have created and abandoned during the Calamity.
Before the calamity, these dimensions were inhabited by most of the rih'kiel population. As the conditions between each dimension varied slightly this has influenced the rih'kiel themselves to evolve for these conditions, which has been partly done using genetic engineering. This has caused them to divergently evolve slightly, to the point where individuals of one pocket dimension are distinguishable from others just by looking at them. Each subspecies has done research into different avenues of genetic engineering, giving themselves different abilities.
During the calamity, they had to leave the dimensions which were at risk of collapse. To truly close them, they sealed them with immense vault doors spanning about 40 km in radius (80 km diameter) that have an unknown thickness (30 km). None have dared to open a vault door, not knowing what might lurk on the other side, if there is anyone still there. It is commonly thought that during their retreat, some few individuals might have been left behind by accident, but it is not known for sure. The process to reseal them is unknown, but is commonly thought that it would take multiple years. The effort that it would likely take to open or close these is estimated to be immense, so a single individual would not be able to.
There are exactly 7 of these vaults, each being the origin point of a specific ability. They are numbered from 01 to 07, with the respective ability colour printed on the vault doors as well. All 7 are located in the Vars 12V System. The Hyperion Federation defends them well, just in case something did try to open them or something tried to break through...
