Fae Headspace

An extremely rare mental condition that arises when Data Fae enters an organic species' brain.   This can only happen in rare cases when Data Fae enters the persons Cybernetic Enhancements via its QECs, and then moving to the persons brain. Fae Headspace can result in the person partially losing control of its own body as the fairy sizes control of some parts momentarily.     It can also lead to memory loss as the fairy eats data contained within the brain, e.g. the persons memories and knowledge. A single Data Fairy would not have a large impact on the person itself, he might feel some form of memory loss but only on a small scale. Due to the fact that all organic species constantly experience new memories, this can produce an endless stream of data for the fae to feast upon. This can cause them to reproduce, in which case the condition can become more dangerous. Eventually it can become fatal if the person's personality is eaten or if the Fae data consumption exceeds the rate of new memories being experienced. The latter will eventually cause brain activity to cease.   If the host is killed, Data Fae are not necessarily killed immediately. They eat data, not energy, so they can live off any data left in the brain at the time. The fae will starve if this supply runs out and they are not rescued before death.   Death due to Fae Headspace is extremely rare. There are only 6 recorded cases of this happening, as anyone that receives the condition are treated, and the fairy forcefully moved to a Hyperion Federation quantum computer.

Transmission & Vectors

Data Fae are capable of 'flight' between computers, but only if both computers can communicate to each other. They can spread to a person's cybernetic enhancements via QEC
