Flying Disc

Flying Discs are fast vehicles capable of both atmospheric and space travel. A number of factions use and build them, such as the Saelian Coalition (a member star nation of the Hyperion Federation), the CD and HM. They can range significantly in size. Very small unmanned discs exist, remote controlled from a station far away. There are also massive supercarrier discs. Flying Discs take advantages from both helicopters and airplanes, being very fast and able to hover. Additionally, they are much quieter and more reliable. However, they are more effective in atmosphere. Additionally, they have less room for weapons. As the hull must be built very flush, few devices can be added to the external hull.

Propulsion

Flying Discs rely on a gravitational warping device to stay in the sky. A similar thing is used to move within atmosphere. They are also built very flush, designed with a low amount of air resistance.
