Hardlight Bridge

A technology used by the Hyperion Federation to very quickly and easily set up bridges across various obstacles.
A Hardlight Bridge projects a solid beam of projector based Hardlight which many entites can collide with. They have been designed in a way to project an impure bridge of hardlight, which creates very small imperfections in the bridge. This allows friction to occur, which is vital to many methods of ground based propulsion, such as motorised wheels and legs.
Much like rays of light, Hardlight bridges will only end when it reaches an object. Other than this, they have been made very reliable and can be set up by Engineer Flash Troopers in a way that is stable and level with the ground. This means the HF military uses them commonly to cross objects that would otherwie be difficult to pass. For exapmle, allowing tanks to cross rivers. They also have the added advantage of allowing the HF to turn them off which disallows the enemy from usimg it. They require energy to function, though, especially when there is a large amount of heavy forces on the bridge. Large objects like tanks require a lot of power to keep on the bridge. Due to the law of conservation of momentum, a headlight bridge can obtain an immense amount of weight depending on the load that crosses it.
