Newingwichian

Ethnicity of Suons that come from the Newingwich Abyss, a cave system of Tebburus.
The Newingwichian ethnicity descended directly from the Tasteinian ethnicity. As such, they appear similar but remain easily distinguished. They have the same blue skin colour, but their bioluminescence is closer to white than blue. A slight blue tint is still visible even in the bioluminescence.
Therefore, they did know about stars. They knew the surface existed and that people inhabited it. Despite living in one of the largest cave systems, newingwichian suons would still sometimes come to the surface to see the stars. They also provided a way to Volcano island and Eraklan that doesn't involve ocean or air travel.
Due to this, their immense cave had a high strategic value, as well as the value of the resources it holds. It has been attacked many times by Tastein from the west and Jeskuar from the east. Due to this, these areas adopted martial cultures, like many cultures of Tebburus. They would eventually be conquered by Tastein though despite this, though Tastein admittedly did not treat them extremely bad. They were spared a lot of liberties and rights, as long as they didnt interfere with the war negatively. Newingwichians liked to collect starlight like Tasteinians, but of course did not have as much access to it, so ultimately made fewer attempts.
