Nucleus - Class Battleship

Although the HM often prefers to build smaller ships, they eventually needed the heavy firepower that battleships offer. as such, the Nucleus is designed primarily for speed and firepower in mind, so its armour is notably lacking. The HM uses smaller ships closer to the front in formations as they can overwhelm enemy defences while the Nucleus battleships pick them off from long range.
Sometimes the battleships are destroyed though. This often happens when the enemy deploys long range anti heavy weapons such as, for example, large missiles or subspatial starships.Its armament mostly comes in the form of an immense number of highly powerful Omnicannons which automatically adapt to the weaknesses of the target. It has an ewar package too allowing it to jam some enemy fleets even when it stays so far back. Sometimes in a pinch they are upgraded with heavier armour and sent to the front. This slows them down substantially but allows them to take enemy fire with surprising effectiveness.
