Pastonan
An ethnicity of Suons from the Pastonas Abyss cavern system located on Tebburus.
As Pastonas is located at a very high elevation, close to the north pole, the entire cave system is extremely cold. Furthermore, there are very few enterances to the cave. Every enterance is underwater, except the very rare island enterance, of which 2 exist.
As such, Pastonians had little contact with external entites, even taking into acount the nearby underwater city, Flaybia. That was constructed very late in the Tebburus Unification War.
The pastonians themselves were eventually conquered by Flaybia, which was looking to expand its borders. Although they defended their cave system effectively, they suffered a large amount of casulties. They could use the more limited spaces of the cave to launch ambush attacks frequently.
Nevertheless, Pastonans also had a unique culture. They were quite xenophobic, so were difficult for the Flaybians to calm after their invasion. They only extremely rarely saw the stars in the sky, so those that did see them made a sort of 'myth' in Pastonian culture. They described an entire field of miniature, white lights speckled from extremely large distance. The few that saw it drew it down, and later, (as technology advanced), took pictures.
Pastonians have blue skin and orange-red bioluminescence.
