Progenitors

Precursor faction. The Progenitors were a sentient parasite that infected other sentient species and controlled their bodies. This gave them an understanding of how to use and build technology. They dismantled a galaxy completely to build an immense starship called the End of Days during the Starsong Incident. This is controlled by an AI and is still fully functional and functioning even in current times. No faction knows of its existance, but it is extremely far away in another galaxy not even close to the modern factions. It kills every faction it comes across with ease, taking all those bodies and sustaining and repairing them within its cryo bays. Should they ever emerge from the Void Sphere they built to hide from the Starsong Incident, the End of Days would be called back. All the bodies that it captured would be infested by Progenitors.
