Void Sphere
Precursor Megastructure located in the Unreachable Star Cluster. It appears near indestructible on the outside, which constantly shifts between many states of matter such as solids, liquids and gas. Even more exotic states can sometimes form, like plasma, bose-einstein condensate, and even QCD matter.
What is even more impressive is that the whole thing opens up when the surface is hit with a very specific frequency of gravi-electromagnetic radiation.
The structure is far bigger on the inside. Despite being slightly larger than an average B class star, ships can enter it and see entirely new star systems within it, almost like it contains an entire universe within it.
However, it was perhaps fortunate that it was the Hyperion Federation that made this discovery. An alien parasite was inside it. By quickly dispatching of them, they prevented a mass epidemic.
The Progenitors built it to take cover from the Starsong Incident.
