Ulkon
A santient race living underground in Mauray. They are short but strong, and do a lot of mining underground. Many of their jobs also involve taking apart the giant clockwork machines of the Mauray underground. Basically space dwarves.
Ulkon are not very strongly magically atuned, however. They can counter magic in the way of manipulating the rotating parts of the clockwords to easily manipulate almost any terrain on which a battle happens.
Basic Information
Anatomy
They have a mostly humanoid body shape. All of their limbs are larger than their human equivalents, but shorter. This gives them more strength. The ulkon torso is also notably much wider as well, partly to support their larger organs, especially liver.
Genetics and Reproduction
Most Ulkon are born with the male gender. Only about 1 in 8 are female.

Symbiotic and Parasitic organisms
Ulkon can support a large number of symbiotic bacteria colonies that help them break down alcohol and sometimes even convert it into more useful products.

Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals
They are known to drink a lot of beer. Every town has at least 1 bar, and the mugs are quite large.
History
The Ulkon, like most races on Mauray, were engineered by the world itself. They were created underground and are one of the few races to have seen the core of the planet.
